It provides purpose-built storage for continuous video capture in homes, offices, retail sites and other security installations.

The 5,400RPM design, 256MB buffer and SATA 6Gb/s interface are tuned for sustained recording rather than ordinary desktop workloads. It supports up to 64 high-resolution cameras and is rated for workloads up to 180TB per year.

Toshiba Dynamic Cache Technology and an integrated shock sensor help maintain consistent recording and protect stored footage. The drive is built for 24/7 operation and fits compatible 3.5-inch surveillance drive bays.
