The Victron MultiPlus 12/3000/120-16 is a powerful and highly versatile 12V inverter-charger designed for backup power, off-grid systems, marine installations, and mobile energy solutions. Delivering 3000 VA (2400 W @ 25°C) of inverter power and a 120 A battery charger, it combines multiple critical functions into a single, reliable unit.

This MultiPlus is fully lithium-ion battery compatible and features Victron’s unique PowerAssist technology, which prevents overload of limited AC sources such as generators or shore power. When demand exceeds supply, the MultiPlus intelligently supplements available power with energy from the battery, then automatically recharges the battery once loads are reduced.

Uninterrupted Power (UPS Function)

In the event of a grid failure or generator disconnection, the MultiPlus switches to inverter mode in less than 20 milliseconds, ensuring uninterrupted power to sensitive equipment such as computers, routers, and control systems.

Scalable Power with Parallel and Three-Phase Capability

For higher power requirements, up to six MultiPlus units can be connected in parallel. Three-phase and split-phase configurations are also supported, making the MultiPlus suitable for everything from small residential systems to large commercial or marine installations.

Two AC Outputs for Intelligent Load Management

• Primary AC output: No-break output with seamless transfer during grid failure

• Secondary AC output: Only active when AC input is available, ideal for loads that should not discharge the battery (e.g. water heaters)

Advanced Monitoring and Remote Control

When paired with a GX device (such as Color Control GX or Venus GX), the MultiPlus can be monitored and controlled locally or remotely via the free Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal and VRM app. Users can view real-time performance, adjust settings, and manage multiple systems from anywhere in the world.
