The Victron Phoenix Inverter 12/3000 230V VE.Bus is a professional-grade pure sine wave inverter designed for high-power, mission-critical, and scalable energy systems. Built using Victron’s SinusMax hybrid HF technology, it delivers exceptional surge power, high efficiency, and absolute reliability, even under demanding loads.

This model is specifically intended for parallel, split-phase, and three-phase systems, making it ideal for large off-grid installations, backup power systems, industrial applications, and advanced energy solutions.

SinusMax™ – Superior Engineering

Developed for professional duty, the Phoenix VE.Bus range produces a true sine wave output with optimised efficiency and uncompromised performance.
By combining high-frequency and line-frequency technologies, Victron achieves compact dimensions, reduced weight, and the ability to supply any load without instability.

Extra High Start-Up Power

A defining feature of SinusMax technology is its exceptionally high start-up surge capacity.
Unlike conventional high-frequency inverters, the Phoenix VE.Bus can reliably start:

  • Refrigeration compressors

  • Electric motors

  • Pumps

  • Heavy inductive loads

This makes it suitable for applications where standard inverters would fail or trip.

Parallel, Split-Phase & 3-Phase Capability

The Phoenix 12/3000 VE.Bus supports scalable system configurations:

  • Up to 6 units in parallel for higher output power

  • 3-phase or split-phase operation supported

Example:

  • Six 24/3000 units provide up to 15 kW / 18 kVA output power

This flexibility makes it ideal for commercial, industrial, and large residential systems.

VE.Bus Communication & System Integration

This inverter includes a VE.Bus communication port, enabling full system integration.

Using an MK3-USB VE.Bus to USB interface (sold separately), you can configure and monitor the inverter via:

  • VictronConnect

  • VEConfigure

Configurable parameters include:

  • Output voltage and frequency

  • Over- and under-voltage limits

  • Programmable relay (alarms, generator start, system signalling)

The inverter can also be connected to Victron GX devices (e.g. Cerbo GX) for centralised monitoring and remote control.

Automatic Transfer Switching (Recommendation)

If seamless AC source transfer is required, Victron recommends using a MultiPlus inverter/charger, which includes:

  • Built-in automatic transfer switch

  • <20 ms switchover time

  • Charger function (can be disabled if not required)

This ensures uninterrupted operation of sensitive electronics.
